Make Good Arts is an independent creative community group, based in the West Midlands, UK.
We teach, guide, help, share and inspire people of all ages to make amazing things, using textiles, print, photography, upcycled and reclaimed materials and lot of ideas and fun!
We hope you can join us for a workshop or event soon!
We run our amazing projects on a tiny budget, with loads of volunteer hours to make things work! If you’re able to support our community projects with a small donation, it would help us to do more! All funds go to the cost of running projects and nobody makes a profit. Click the link below to support us through the Buy Me A Coffee site…
On Sunday 20th November we’ll have a great hands-on workshop suitable for all experience levels, using scrap and surplus materials to make a fantastic t shirt or skirt which uses every last bit of fabric!
Zero waste is a simple, economical and sustainable way to make the clothes you need and make the most of fabrics. We’ll learn all about different fabric types, sewing with stretch, patching together pieces and using basically square shapes to make wearable and great looking clothes.
Refashion is our lead project for 2022 – 23… and perhaps forever!
Refashion is all about changing our relationship with clothes, finding our own style, wasting less, learning about our clothes and where they come from and making the thing we have last as long as we can. Love fashion, love people, love our planet. Find out about workshops coming soon on the Refashion page.
